3As it stands, data science is a skill of a select few in the marketing community, basically a form of intellectual elitism. As a result, there is a wide gap between data scientists and everyone else. Not only this is an issue regarding what marketers are able to do themselves, but also a communication problem. Because senior marketers do not share the same language with data scientists, they are not able to communicate directly with arguably their most elite troops.
